Sama’ Abdulhadi confirms London residency at Phonox

Palestine’s first and pioneering techno DJ and producer Sama’ Abdulhadi has announced a four week residency at Brixton’s Phonox club throughout January 2023.

“I loved playing at the club earlier this year for my Bring Back Beirut fundraiser and loved the energy of the loyal crowd who party there. I am bringing with me my Union collective crew again, plus have invited two artists whom I respect hugely – Jennifer Cardini and Victor Ruiz,” she said.

Union DJs are a creative collective that provide platforms for DJs, producers and people in the music and creative arts industries, which Abdulhadi set up in her hometown of Ramallah, Palestine.

As well as playing an all-night-long set on January 13, Abdulhadi has invited along Victor Ruiz and Jennifer Cardini to perform, and each of the clubnights will include a range of guests selected from the Point Blank Music School.

“I thought it would be nice to welcome a new generation of artists through the venue so I’ve asked the wildly-talented music students at Point Blank to submit DJ mixes and help warm up the party,” she said. “This will be a special start to the year.”

Tickets and registration are available here.
