New Track: SAFIA – ‘Listen To Soul, Listen To Blues’

Don’t listen to any Australian who tells you nothing good comes out of Canberra (believe me, there are many of them). I certainly wouldn’t have guessed the electro-soul trio behind this impossibly smooth number hailed from my home country, let alone from it’s much underrated capital city, so mistakenly thought of by Australia’s young as having nothing to its name but Julia Gillard and Parliament House. Shattering that myth, SAFIA’s genre-defying sounds have already drawn comparisons to Flume and James Blake. Judging by this track alone, such high accolades are well-deserved.
