Nation left shocked that two people on reality TV didn’t find true love
The nation has been left shocked after Love Island star Molly-Mae Hague announced her split from fiancé Tommy Fury after five years together.
The couple met on a TV show designed to let people forge facile relationships based almost entirely on how they look in swimwear, but to the utter amazement of viewers, this relationship has not flourished long-term in the “real world”.
Love Island fan Sharon Williams told us, “The fairytale is over. Who could have predicted that the woman with the nice boobs and the man with the six-pack would not live happily ever after? What hope do the rest of us have if two superficially attractive people thrust together in a manufactured scenario for the entertainment of people at home can’t find true love?”
Meanwhile, non-morons have reacted with a shrug to the perfectly predictable outcome of a TV show based almost entirely on skin-deep attraction.
As one explained, “Oh, the soft-porn TV series about young attractive people getting off with different young attractive people over a couple of months in the sun has failed to produce a relationship that stands the test of time? I’m genuinely shocked.”
