Crazy P – ‘Any Signs of Love’
Marking 25 years since their debut LP A Nice Hot Bath With…, acclaimed English dance collective Crazy P returns with their ninth studio album, Any Signs of Love. Written and recorded in early 2023, before the untimely passing of beloved frontwoman Danielle Moore in August, the album stands as a powerful testament to the band’s enduring legacy.
Crazy P’s mastery of blending underground disco with elements of Fleetwood Mac-inspired pop is on full display throughout Any Signs of Love. Across 10 vibrant tracks, they channel three decades of unforgettable live performances, unshakable friendship, and above all, impeccable songwriting. Lead single Human After All sets the tone with its sultry grooves, Italo-inspired arpeggios, infectious piano hooks, and lush Balearic beats.
The album reflects the band’s evolution while staying true to the signature Crazy P sound that has built a loyal, multigenerational following. Standout tracks include the anthemic The Revolution Will Not Be Anything, the shimmering Italo-tinged title track, and the psychedelic funk of Not Too Late. Moore’s electrifying vocals, always central to the band’s appeal, shine brightly throughout, making her absence all the more poignant.
In a heartfelt statement, the band shared: “The album was finished in early March this year; Danielle left us in August. We miss her terribly, and it only seems right that we release the record. We’re immensely proud of it. We know Danielle considered it to be some of our best work and would want the world to hear it. We hope you like it.”
With Any Signs of Love, Crazy P delivers a fitting tribute to their remarkable journey and to Moore’s unparalleled talent. It’s an album that resonates equally in intimate clubs, expansive festival stages, and personal soundtracks — a celebration of life, music, and the enduring spirit of a band still at the height of its creative powers.
