‘Hans Zimmer: Hollywood Rebel’ celebrates composer’s career

A new documentary that explores over 40 years of the life and work of famed composer Hans Zimmer will be broadcast on BBC 2 at 9 p.m. on October 16.

Hans Zimmer: Hollywood Rebel will explore the multi Grammy and Golden Globe winning German composer’s albums, performance pieces and film soundtracks for Interstellar, Dune, and Inception.

The work will also feature interviews with directors who have collaborated with Zimmer, including Christopher Nolan, Denis Villeneuve and Steve McQueen. It will also highlight clips from his European tour earlier this year.

Zimmer said, “My hope is that this documentary inspires and emboldens you to unapologetically pursue your passions and find a deeper understanding for my scores and above all, music.”
