Brits in airport chaos after realising they’re not the only passengers in the world

UK passengers were stunned to realise they were not the only travellers upon arrival to airports around the world.

Many travelled abroad during the half-term four-day Jubilee break, and were devastated to find flight delays, queues, and other people at airports trying to get home – just like them.

Passengers began arguing with the nearest person next to them, asking for accountability for the fact they paid no heed to warnings that holiday bookings risked being oversubscribed during the holiday period, and that delays and cancellations would be inevitable.

Many expressed frustration at security procedures, protesting individual security checks should be obsolete since we all ought to just be blindly trusted.

“It took me ages to get through security – I had to take off all my jewellery, belts, rummage in my bag to find my laptop and electronic devices…it took forever,” said one disgruntled passenger. “At the end of it I had to put everything away again and I wasn’t flagged as a security threat anyway. What was the point of all that?”

The assumption prevailed that everyone would be exempt from delays – and the reality of having to wait became a shock that was too much for many to cope with, with many vowing never to fly again – between now and their next flight abroad.
