Politicians and journalists outraged at Russia’s dishonesty

Politicians and journalists throughout the world were outraged the advancement of Russian troops into Ukraine turned out to not be part of a vacation.

“We were under the impression they were planning on visiting the cathedrals,” Prime Minister Boris Johnson argued. “None of us saw this coming.”

“For now, we’re just waiting it out and hoping the global energy market will stabilise,” Boris added. “It’s been a long, hard winter in the UK. So Russia moving forward with any aggressive action will definitely not make it worse.”

The plethora of tourist offerings do not appear to have been enough to distract Putin from a full-scale invasion, while Russian military apparently lost enthusiasm they decided to launch a military attack against Ukraine.

US President Joe Biden said, “Putin has always been a man of his word. We’ve never had any reason to doubt his intentions before this moment. It’s incredibly disappointing.”

“We’re all so very sorry it has come to this,” Australian Prime Minister Scott Morrison sighed. “Sanctions are definitely the way forward – Putin has a track record of adhering to them diligently so I am confident that will sort everything.”
