Introducing: Cherub

Following in the shoes of predecessors Passion Pit and The Naked And Famous in the ridiculously high falsetto vocals department… enter, Cherub! Despite sharing a name with celestial beings, the Tennessean duo certainly don’t try to act all innocent on us. In fact, with lyrics such as, “To all the bitchass hoes,” and, ” To all the punkass fucks, That just wanna talk shit, I hate you too,” it’s hard not to think that they’re a pretty badass bunch. Their music video for ‘Doses and Mimosas’ also ties in with this theme of rebellion, liberation and youth – #SkinsLifestyle. But of course, I mean this all in a good way. They’re the sort of band that boast of that effortless coolness and sex appeal that so many youths hopelessly aspire towards, and this translates into their music. Their viral anthem ‘Doses and Mimosas’ is abundant with alluring sweep-pads, lively electric percussion and syncopated synths. The track undoubtedly showcases their versatility as songwriters and producers.

The band’s latest album Mom & Dad is available for purchase.

Cherub will playing at venues across the UK on the following dates:

July 14 – Lottarox Festival Preview – London
