New Track: Shine 2009 – ‘Eurozone’ CFCF remix

Ooooh yeah. There must be something in the Helsinki waters that breeds electro gods. Shine 2009 certainly don’t disprove the hypothesis, as demonstrated by ‘Eurozone’, which dares to critique capitalism and avarice. Social commentary from a synth-pop band? Shine 2009 went there. The track gets a makeover from Montreal’s CFCF, becoming notably darker and making an effortless transition from funky dancefloor to underground Berlin rave. Perhaps because we cracked open the ciders at 4pm, but most probably because it’s just an incredible track, this song has been the soundtrack to my afternoon.

‘Eurozone’ will appear on Shine 2009’s Our Nation, out later this year on Cascine.
