Introducing: Pinemarten

There isn’t much information available on new producer Pinemarten. He’s one of those allusive kinds that’s letting the music speak for itself, which we’re all fine with. Even his press photographs don’t give us a look at his face. Needless to say we’re intrigued, and what we do know only makes us want more. The Chesterfield based Pinemarten has just remixed the likes of Sun Glitters and Jewellers, and to our delight, he’s also released his own EP titled ‘Come Around Again, Again.’ It’s out on his bandcamp, where you can also find previous releases, ‘Bay’ and ‘Home’.

The new EP ‘Coming Around Again, Again’ has an undeniable warmth and beauty to it. Title track of the EP is the type of song you’d listen to first thing in the morning. It has enough glitter and shimmer to it that it wakes you up, but not rudely. It just sort of eases you back into the world, and you can almost feel the sunlight streaming in through big bay windows. The other two songs follow in the same warm feeling, and it’s the perfect set of songs to being and end your day with, or even play during a long journey.
