Prince Harry’s name appears in Sean ‘Diddy’ Combs sexual assault lawsuit

A $30m lawsuit against Sean ‘Diddy’ Combs accuses the rapper of sex trafficking and sexual abuse. Combs has faced a string of varying accusations over the past six months, and federal agents with US Homeland Security raided two of the rapper’s houses in Los Angeles and Miami on March 25.

Court documents reveal that Combs is believed to have drawn guests to his infamous parties through his VIP associations with “celebrities such as famous athletes, political figures, artists, musicians and international dignitaries like British Royal, Prince Harry”.

Headlines have manipulated the naming of Prince Harry based on their bias towards him. The sentence itself mentions his name as an example of a well-known celebrity who Combs supposedly had ‘access’ to and whose name was then used to ‘legitimise’ the parties.

This is the only mention of his name. However, many anti-Harry outlets ran headlines that were deliberately intended to incite speculation with sensationalistic headlines.

Front page images were also deliberately edited. Many ran photos of Harry and Combs at a concert in memory of Princess Diana in London in 2007.  However, Prince William was also in attendance – but was cropped out of the photographs.
