Over the past few years, Christopher Raeburn’s revolutionary evolution has been nothing short of remarkable. Kicking off with his signature reclaimed parachute-silk cagoules, Raeburn’s aesthetic is now an integral and swoonsome part of both LFW and LCM; his focused skill with fabrics is becoming a byword for quality and design flair. This new collection sees him explore a desert sandstorm theme (also seen at KTZ), with tie-dye fabrics, a natural, earthy colour palette (with the odd shot of salmon pink borrowed from Operation Desert Storm Land Rovers) and technical fabrics. Raeburn’s collections are at the top end of wearable, but he blends in an element of desirability and glamour (this time coming from a North African tile-inspired print). Raeburn’s collection was subdued but strong, softly-spoken yet exceptionally clear, and packed full of sharp, innovative design tics that prove his tailoring excellence.
