Knitwear might be their signature, but this season Sibling went full-on 1950s rocker, showing sharp denim, bowling shirts in delicious sorbet latex shades and clashing, fabulous prints that made this show one of the highlights of LCM. The trio’s rebellious approach included smiling models, a West Side Story soundtrack, greaser hair and tattoo motifs – themes that the designers played with, but in the hands of lesser pens could feel pastichey. In fact I’m going to go out on a limb here – with such strong ideas, deftness of execution and confident feeling of setting their own trends, with this collection Sibling established themselves as the British Prada – revered by insiders, feted by the press and fearless in trendsetting, there’s no limits for this house. Next up, a fragrance? Wherever they take the brand, Cozette, Sid and Joe’s world-class offering is going from strength to strength.
