UKG pioneers Tuff Jam release full back-catalogue for streaming
Pioneers of UK garage, Tuff Jam, have made their back-catalogue available on streaming platforms for the first time.
Classic and previously unavailable tracks like Tumblin’ Down and History Of House Music in full master quality have been distributed on a range of streaming services.
Matt “Jam” Lamont and Karl “Tuff Enuff” Brown are long-respected producers in the UK garage scene. They rose to prominence in the ’90s with their releases and remixes, earning the title of the Godfathers of UK garage, and began collaborating in 1993, amassing a dedicated following over the years.

Lamont expressed excitement about the release, stating, “It’s been 24 years since our last Tuff Jam release, so I’m very excited that our back-catalogue will finally be available on all streaming platforms for our supporters old and new to enjoy. Also very happy it’s being re-released with major label BMG who we feel mirrors our vision with this project.”
Brown, added, “The first-ever digital release of the Tuff Jam productions catalogue is an exciting opportunity, and it’s great to be working with the team at BMG to make this happen in 2024. It’s also quite surreal to think it’s been over 20 years since the first Tuff Jam collaboration!”
