LCD Soundsystem Unveil Official Edit of Home by Tom Sharkett of W. H. Lung

LCD Soundsystem have released an official edit of their track Home, originally featured on the 2010 album This Is Happening. The new version has been reworked by Tom Sharkett, guitarist of the Manchester synth-pop outfit W. H. Lung.

Set to arrive on 12″ vinyl via DFA Records, the release will feature the Home (Tom Sharkett Edit) on the A-side and an instrumental version on the B-side. According to the label, “It wasn’t really hiding, just sitting quietly online. But Tom Sharkett’s edit of Home was too good to ignore.” DFA were made aware of the track through Flo Dill’s Breakfast Show on NTS Radio, where it first gained wider attention.

The timing of the release coincides with LCD Soundsystem’s current residency at Brixton Academy in London. Following the UK shows, the band will continue their North American tour, with TV on the Radio set to support on select dates.
