Introducing: Vuvuvultures

Vuvuvultures have the best name in music (at least they have since Dananananaykroyd split up). Let’s face it, that’s just fact. And, much like the wonderful Dananananaykroyd, Vuvuvultures make great music, too.

That’s the end of the gargantuan names, now, so don’t worry.

The band, based in London but with members from Australia, Brazil and South Africa, make a weird kind of shoegaze infused pop music. Musically, it’s dark and brooding, but the distant, ethereal voice of frontwoman Harmony Boucher takes this sound a little further than just feedback guitars. Kind of like Sky Larkin crossed with My Bloody Valentine. Kind of.
