Introducing: S.C.U.M
Acclaimed band S.C.U.M is making a huge impression here at Prime Planet. The band made a name for themselves with SIGNALS, a mixtape featuring music that was produced on the road as they visited vast and wonderful locations. It also functions as an acoustic diary, drawing upon elements from each culture and environment. Hailing from good ol’ South London, Thomas Cohen (vocals), Bradley Baker (machines), Samuel Kilcoyne (keyboards), Huw Webb (bass) and Melissa Rigby (drums) form punk rock group, known for performing in churches. Newly found members of the Mute Records family, the group will be releasing their new single, Amber Hands on 18th July.
The single was recorded and produced in London with Ken Thomas and includes mixes by Sonic Boom and Silver Apples. It will also be available on 12″ for any old-school vinyl lovers out there. The group is bound to remain favourites and are currently touring with bands which include The Kills, The Ravonettes and Portishead.
S.C.U.M will be performing live shows across the UK throughout June, so once you’ve found your nearest venue, we urge you to go have a listen:
