Introducing: Hawkon
The thought of struggling to find every fine detail about pretty much anyone is a rarity in the so-called ‘information age’. I mean, you social network stalk people to the point where you know what they had for breakfast without ever meeting IRL. So when an artist crops up veiled behind the disguise of a single SoundCloud demo, you can’t help but be intrigued. And when that demo is as loop-inducing as ‘1000 questions’, you find yourself asking – who the fuck is Hawkon?
Well, this is what we know: Hawkon is part of the burgeoning Hackney Wick arts scene and is slowly building a following after a string of warehouse parties and a debut Berlin show at Urban Spree. The only offering thus far is full of super catchy 90s R&B vocals with progressive production courtesy of Peter Jarrett. With word of an album on the way, it would be wise to keep your ears peeled on the Hawkon side of things. Take a listen to ‘1000 Questions’ below:
