Honey Dijon set to take over Southbank Centre
Honey Dijon will take over London’s Southbank Centre across two weekends for a special event of live music, DJ sets, panel talks and more.
‘Honeyverse’ takes inspiration from Dijon’s roots in the Black and queer community. Speaking about the project, she said, “Discovery, Love, Joy. These are the tools of my creative practice and it gives me great pleasure to share with all of you the music and artists that inspired me in the curation of Honeyverse.”
Amongst the events, on September 9, Dijon will unveil the The Honey Dijon Experience, a groundbreaking hybrid concert featuring the live orchestra Radiant Baby Orchestra, commissioned by the Southbank Centre. Following this extraordinary event, Dijon will grace the DJ booth in the Queen Elizabeth Hall Foyer, accompanied by the talented Aqwea and Kampire.
On September 16, Dijon returns for another electrifying DJ set in the foyer, joined by the incredible talents of Red Pig Flower and Gayance. The Queen Elizabeth Hall will also come alive with sensational live performances by Alewya and Cakes Da Killa. Dijon will also host a captivating panel conversation on music, fashion, and culture, featuring esteemed guests, in the Purcell Room on the same day.
