Courteeners announce new album and UK tour
Courteeners have announced a new greatest hits album, God Bless The Band, alongside a UK arena tour for 2026, marking 20 years since their formation.
Set for release on August 28 via Ignition Music, the compilation spans the band’s career from their debut St Jude (2008) through to 2024’s Pink Cactus Café. The album also includes two new tracks: ‘Plus One Forever’ and the newly released single The Luckiest Man Alive, produced by frontman Liam Fray and James Skelly.
Fray said the timing felt right to celebrate the milestone with new material, reflecting on the band’s long-standing connection with fans. The title itself references a lyric from their signature track Not Nineteen Forever.
To launch the album, the band will play an intimate show at Night & Day Café this weekend, ahead of a wider UK arena tour in November. Dates include stops in Leeds, Cardiff, Liverpool, London, Glasgow and Birmingham.
In a nod to supporting the live music ecosystem, £1 from every ticket sold will be donated to LIVE Trust, which helps fund grassroots venues and artists.
The release follows a period of sustained success for the band, who have sold over a million albums in the UK and continue to draw large crowds, including a major hometown show at Wythenshawe Park this summer.
