Woman who married a homemade rag doll says he cheated on her

Here in our Laugh section, we have a lot of fun satirising the more bizarre or nonsensical stories of the week.

But every now and then, they actually write themselves.

Brazilian bride Meirivone Rocha Moraes first made headlines earlier this year after revealing she had met and married the ‘love of her life’ – a rag doll named Marcelo, who her mother made for her after hearing her complain about single life.

The couple went on to have a rag doll baby. Soon after, Meirivone revealed through her TikTok that she started to have doubts about their relationship because she is the only breadwinner and her husband is quite lazy, which isn’t surprising since he isn’t … real.

Now she has exposed her husband’s betrayal, saying, “I found out through a friend who told me that she saw Marcelo entering a motel with another woman while I was hospitalised for three nights and three days with Marcelinho, our son, who had a virus.”

There are so many questions here.

Is everyone in on it? Does she genuinely believe a rag doll is her husband and father to her inanimate child who couldn’t possibly contract a virus because he doesn’t even have a pulse? Does everyone else play along to not hurt her feelings? Is she winding everyone up? AND WHO DID HE CHEAT ON HER WITH WHEN HE DOESN’T EVEN HAVE FEET?

Well, that’s it. That’s the post. Nothing to satirise, it does what it says on the tin. Moral of the story: can’t trust anyone whether they’re alive or not.
