Man manipulates woman for being the person he was attracted to in the first place

In the latest wave of, “I go to therapy so I’m dealing with my problems, therefore you must be the problem”, a man has berated his girlfriend for the exact reasons he was attracted to her and asked her out in the first place. Apparently, narcissism is a portion of therapy that he hasn’t tackled yet.
In what can only be described as medieval ownership irony, the poor man’s fragile ego collapsed under the weight of insecurity – sorry, I mean, boundaries – in full weaponisation of his therapy word of the day.
Actions speak louder than words, however, and despite being attracted to the woman’s appearance, personality, ambition and success, decided that these were now things he had rightful claim over, that needed to change, and they are no longer to be seen by the world as she must be kept hidden at home with dinner waiting on the table for him – while he probably cheats on her with a person who is exactly like the woman she used to be before her spirit was crushed by.
If only people took responsibility for their own insecurities like adults instead of making them everyone else’s problem while trying to change the people around them in order to accommodate their discomfort so they don’t have to work on themselves.
But that’s too optimistic for a Monday.
