Holiday to Spain wrecked by too many Spanish people
Brits abroad have lamented that their holiday to Spain was ruined by Spanish people. Whatever next – the French in France?
The geographical surprise began upon arrival, when the presence of Spanish citizens in Spain was a devastating discovery and left holiday-goers pondering, “Why can’t they just go somewhere else like we have?”
Another said, “We were staying in a hotel, which is meant for people from other countries. It makes no sense that there are Spanish people here. It is still Spain. Why are they here?”
They now want their money back or a free holiday. Let’s hope the next place choose will have experienced an exodus of all its citizens before their arrival.
Or, maybe we ought to learn a few lessons from Blackadder:
“I’d like to the Spaniard who could make his way past me…”
“Go to Spain, there’s lots of them.”
