Space Ghost releases new album on Pacific Rhythm label

The Oakland-based DJ and producer Space Ghost is set to release his new album, Private Paradise, on Vancouver label Pacific Rhythm on March 31.

Space Ghost began writing Private Paradise at the onset of the pandemic, and the album is an eight-track homage to his personal escape and exploration, release and recovery, inspired by the Californian coastline and social standstill.

The album itself feels a lot like the sea – delicate breezes become echoed synths; sun-soaked skies are captured with gentle chimes; melodies swim between ambient refrains and rhythmic house.
